Muxtape Search

Muxtape Search is exactly what you think it is, it’s a search utility for the very popular Muxtape mixtape service. My friend Johan created this little mashup of with the help of Yahoo! Search Web Service and Google App Engine.
I came in and did the client side design, which proved to be a lot harder than I thought. To keep something simple, a little stylish but still keep that Muxtape feel about it.
Muxtape allows for a little bit of customization of your mixtape, namely adding a little bit of color to your mixtape - we couldn’t fetch the users color without having to many requests all over the place so we settled on having eight preset colors randomled picked out as you search. It might not exactly mirror the mixtapes actual colors, and in most cases it’s not even close - but it makes the site feel a bit more alive.
